The results of the latest poll are in! Thirty one percent of book fans voted for Josh Duhamel to play the role of Ben Bartone in a movie version of the book. Tom Welling was second at 23%  followed by Keanu Reeves, Justin Long and Jake Gyllenhaul all tied for third place. 

What a cast! So far, in addition to Josh Duhamel playing Donny Shepard, we have: James Gandolfini or John Goodman playing assistant coach, George "Tules" DeTullio; Danny DeVito playing head coach John DeFrancisco; Jack Black playing assistant coach Jaques "Jocko" Veillette; Freddy Prince, Jr. playing Ben Bartone and Sean Astin playing Gino DiMauro.   

The budget for this movie just keeps on getting bigger and bigger!
