Strike Three Foundation
I just learned from Joe Lizza, Derby High School's freshman catcher in The Fat Lady Never Sings , that he is now the Chief Operating Officer of the "Strike Three Foundation" a charitable organization founded by Major League Baseball pitcher, Trumbull native and former Yale pitcher Craig Breslow. The "Strike Three Foundation" is a charitable agency that "heightens awareness, mobilizes support and raises funds for childhood cancer research." Derby Day 2008
Rain or shine (hopefully shine) I'll be appearing at the Derby Day 2008 festivities taking place from 10: 00 a.m to 5:00p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2008 on the Derby Green. There will be live music, great food, talented crafters and children's games. Stop by and say hello, I'll be at the "Derby Author's" booth at a location near the Green, yet to be announced.(In other words, probably off in some obscure location) Keep looking, I'll be the guy with the giant baseball glove. |

Where are they now, cont.
Thanks to Pete Chrzanowski(centerfielder and tri-captain of the 1992 team) I was finally able to track down Donny Shepard(pitcher and tri-captain of the 1992 team) I learned that Donny married about two years ago, moved back to Connecticut and currently lives in Cromwell. |
